ABAN AYA Youth Project: Preventing High Risk Behaviors Among African American Youth in Grades 5-8

Main Message:This project has been developed to address many problem behaviors such as violence, substance abuse, delinquency and sexual activity.

Target Population: African American male and female students 10-14 years of age (5th-8th grade).

Length: Four year program that works through all components at different stages in early adolescence with 16-21 lessons each year with lessons lasting 40-45 minutes each.

Program size: Classroom.
