Demark, S.C. used to have one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in South Carolina but now claims one of the lowest. Much of this progress can be attributed to the work of Michelle Nimmons', who has been focused on this issue in her community for over 30 years and is being honored as one of the SC Campaign's champions of 20 years of progress.
On Sunday, March 30, Michelle's story hit the airwaves on NPR, when she told of the incredible strides that have been made. SC Campaign CEO Forrest Alton was also interviewed as a leading expert on the issue.
