It Takes a Village
They say it takes a village to raise a child. As a community-based organization, you’re a crucial part of that village. 47.5% of high school students in South Carolina reported having sex in 2013,* and 19.4% of middle school students in South Carolina said they had sex in 2013.*
Teen mothers are less likely to finish high school and are more likely to live in poverty and rely on public assistance. If this alarms you, know that there is something you can do to change it!
