Safer Choices: Preventing HIV, Other STD, and Pregnancy

Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 - 8:00am to Thursday, December 8th, 2016 - 4:30pm

This multi-component, school-based, evidence-based program designed to prevent HIV, STDs, and pregnancy among high-school youth promotes school and community-wide change. Research shows youth who participated in Safer Choices delayed their initiation of sexual activity, increased their condom use and other protection against pregnancy if they were sexually active, and they reduced their number of sexual partners with whom they had unprotected sex if sexually active. Read more about program specifics here.
