Impact Systems: Collaborating for Change

Summer Institute is one of the top teen pregnancy prevention conferences in the nation.  Each year, nearly 300 teen pregnancy prevention professionals gather to learn new information, network, share ideas, and discuss successes and challenges. Our 2018 event will be packed with innovative sessions, interactive presentations, and engaging speakers.

JUNE 5–7, 2018 — The South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy will host its 19th annual teen pregnancy prevention conference at the Marriott downtown Columbia.

Call for Presentations

The call for presentation proposals for Summer Institute 2018 is NOW OPEN. If you have experience in any of the topics listed below, we invite you to apply to present at our conference next June.

  • Teen pregnancy prevention
  • Youth development
  • Community programs
  • Working with priority populations
  • Male engagement
  • Nonprofit Leadership
  • Evaluation/assessment
  • Advocacy and more!

Proposals are due by Friday, December 1, 2017.


What will participants learn?

Participants will gain new tools and insights on topics such as:

  • Teen pregnancy and STI/HIV prevention
  • Implementing community programs
  • Engaging and empowering youth
  • Supporting pregnant and parenting teens
  • Working with diverse populations
  • Collaborating across communities
  • Leadership and sustainability

Continuing education units (CEUs) will be available.

Health professionals, social workers, counselors, teachers, nurses, youth-serving professionals, and students studying related fields.
