Main Message: Get Real about AIDS is an HIV prevention curriculum that addresses sexual risk-taking behaviors related to pregnancy prevention, including: delaying sexual activity, using condoms, being monogamous if sexually active, and avoiding risky situations.

Target Population: Both genders from all racial backgrounds, 9th-12th grade.

Length: 14 lessons for 60 minutes.

Program Size: Classroom.


  1. Reduce their risk of becoming infected with HIV.
  2. Delay sexual activity.
  3. If sexually active, use good judgment by abstaining from drug use, using condoms correctly, getting tested for HIV, and being monogamous.
  4. Not sharing needles.
