For Youth Serving Professionals

The South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy is committed to meeting the professional development needs of all youth-serving professionals. Because of this, the SC Campaign offers educational opportunities, technical assistance and evaluation assistance to professionals across the state including:
  • Statewide and onsite trainings, web-based learning through webinars and the Online Learning Center, networking opportunities throughout the state, and presentations to both youth and adults.
  • Evaluation resources for youth serving individuals.
  • One of the premier teen pregnancy prevention conferences in the United States - Summer Institute.

To take professional development a step further, the SC Campaign encourages training participants to work towards an Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Certificate, a non-credit professional certificate co-sponsored by the University of South Carolina.  The SC Campaign is a provider of CHES Category I, Social Work, Licensed Counselor and Nursing continuing education hours.

As a compliment to SC Campaign trainings, technical assistance (TA) is also available by request. This includes onsite visits, phone or email contact and is available to any local organization or agency conducting teen pregnancy prevention programming in South Carolina. To ensure individualized support, a staff person is assigned to each region of the state. We can assist your staff with developing and improving your teen pregnancy prevention initiative, from the planning stage to the final evaluation.
