Welcome Parents and Trusted Adults

It’s July 2010!  My, where has the time gone?  School's out for the summer, teachers are enjoying a much-deserved break, and many families are planning vacations.  But, in the midst of all the fun, don't forget about engaging the young people in your life in conversations about love, sex, relationships – and delaying too early pregnancy and parenting.

Take the time this month to use every teachable moment – whether it is Bristol and Levi on the cover of US Magazine, the return of Teen Mom on MTV, or Forever 21's new maternity line – to share with them. Be sure they know what your family values are relative to sex, love and relationships.

Finally, share this site with a friend and encourage someone else to begin conversations with their young person.  The wider we can spread the message, the better.  Also, if you are on Facebook, don't forget to Fan Us!  Lots of great information is shared through our page.
