Teen pregnancy is a complex problem that requires complex solutions. Each and every person in a community has a role to play – from parents, to schools, to faith leaders, to business leaders, to young people – if we want to continue achieving reductions in teen pregnancy rates. Public awareness efforts at the SC Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy are informed by this premise and seek to 1) inform South Carolinians of the severity of teen pregnancy in our state, and 2) encourage them to get involved.
Our belief is that an informed public who is willing to do their part to invest in the lives of young people – whatever their individual capacity may allow will ensure our goals are met. We also acknowledge that communication goes two-ways, and the SC Campaign vows to communicate with and listen to members of each unique community we serve. Send us your comments!
